Dear All,
Here is important information
about the TEKS revisions. The board will be meeting on July 19-20. Any
commentary you provide will need to be in place soon. Let me know if I
can relay information for you.
Here is a document that aligns the rows by student expectation.
It references the CCRS standards and follows with a backward map from 12th
grade to kindergarten. Also, you will find that the student expectations are
more tightly aligned to assist your review and recommendations.
TEA has now posted the latest copies of the committees’
final recommendations on their website. They may also create a side-by-side
document to compare the latest version to the current TEKS.

Arts and Reading TEKS
The State Board
of Education (SBOE) has legislative authority to adopt the Texas Essential
Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for each subject of the required curriculum. SBOE
members nominated educators, parents, business and industry representatives,
and employers to serve on the review committees. This page provides information
regarding the 2015 review and revision of the English language arts and reading
(ELAR) TEKS.
