In general, we know that CUPS and ARMS are what we are looking for. But the TEKS are less specific as the grades advance. For example, we know that students are supposed to spell correctly by English I. But what exactly is assessed in spelling? After analyzing the released tests, I found some sub categories that we can use to make mini-lessons for review and instruction. It will be helpful for kids to know exactly what kinds of things they will be looking for in the questions.
